-Who are you dressed up as today?
Well, usually I work on a super hero TV show called ‘Arrow’ and I usually dress up as Deadshot but today I am the one and only Captain Canada. I grew up watching the awesomely crazy vignettes on NTV in the middle of the night about Captain Newfoundland and Captain Canada, its forever entrenched in my mind, and so when I knew I was coming to this event I knew I didn’t want to dress up as Deadshot so I was like ‘Newfoundland… superhero…if I really go for it what should I be? Captain Canada!’. I reached out to the people from NTV, the Stirling family hooked me up, brought the costume in from Vancouver. Like, this was made in 1979. It’s the original Captain Canada outfit. They couldn’t find the helmet. They didn’t have the boots. I adapted and overcame that challenge and showed up here to represent.
-You’re here for Easter Seals.
Yeah, I’m here for this event. We’re raising money for people with disabilities. It’s a great way to take care of our own here in Newfoundland, to raise money for a great cause, but have a kick ass time doing it.
